MusicDude is operated by DUDES. By creating an account or using MusicDude, you confirm that you agree to and are bound by these Terms & Conditions. They apply to the MusicDude app and its servers, and to any email or other communication between you and MusicDude.
MusicDude is a taste companion: it describes and organises the music you bring to it. It is not a music player or streaming service, and it does not host or sell music.
DUDES grants you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to download, install and use the app strictly in accordance with these Terms.
These Terms & Conditions are a contract between you and DUDES (referred to as “MusicDude”, “us”, “we” or “our”), the provider of the MusicDude app and the services accessible from it (collectively, the “MusicDude Service”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the MusicDude Service. If you violate these Terms, we may suspend or close your account.
You must be at least 14 years old to use MusicDude. You are responsible for keeping your login details secret and for activity on your account. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Delete account).
You agree not to, and you will not permit others to:
Premium costs €3.99 per month (or the local equivalent shown in the store) and is billed monthly by Google Play or the Apple App Store to the account you purchase with. It renews automatically until you cancel it in Google Play or the App Store; cancelling stops the next renewal, and Premium stays active until the end of the paid period. Deleting your MusicDude account does not cancel a store subscription.
New accounts receive a 14-day free trial of Premium features, which starts when your first library scan finishes. It ends on its own and does not turn into a paid subscription.
Refunds are handled by Google Play or the App Store under their refund policies, without prejudice to your statutory rights as a consumer. We may change the price of Premium; any change applies from your next renewal after the store notifies you, and you can cancel before it applies.
Music information, artwork and 30-second previews come from third parties such as Deezer, Apple iTunes and MusicBrainz; event listings come from Ticketmaster and MusicBrainz. MusicDude does not sell tickets: buying a ticket happens on the organiser's or seller's site under their terms. We do not guarantee that third-party information is complete, accurate or current.
If you connect Spotify inside the app, you log in on Spotify's own web page and the app reads your library with your session, on your device. This connection is not provided or endorsed by Spotify and may stop working at any time. If you connect ListenBrainz, it records your Spotify listening and exports playlists to your Spotify under ListenBrainz's own terms. MusicDude is not affiliated with Spotify, ListenBrainz, Apple, Google, Deezer, Ticketmaster or MusicBrainz, and their names are trademarks of their respective owners.
Some short texts in the app are generated by an AI model from facts about your library. They are descriptive and for entertainment. They may be imperfect and are not advice of any kind. The “18+” communication style contains swearing and rough teasing about your music; it is opt-in and only for adults.
Any feedback, comments, ideas or suggestions (“Suggestions”) you provide to MusicDude may be used by DUDES to improve the Service without any obligation to you.
By using our app, registering an account or making a purchase, you consent to these Terms & Conditions and to our Privacy Policy.
These Terms apply only to the Service. The Service may contain links to websites not operated or controlled by MusicDude, such as ticket sellers or streaming services. We are not responsible for their content or practices; your use of them is subject to their own terms and policies.
We may modify, suspend or discontinue the Service or any feature, temporarily or permanently. We may provide updates that add, change or remove features. If we discontinue Premium features you have paid for, we will tell you in advance where possible, and your statutory rights are not affected.
These Terms remain in effect until terminated by you or by DUDES. You can end them at any time by deleting your account and the app. We may suspend or terminate your account if you seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms. Termination does not limit DUDES's rights or remedies in case of a breach by you.
If you are a copyright owner or authorised to act for one and believe that material in our app infringes your copyright, please contact us with: (a) your signature; (b) identification of the material concerned; (c) your contact details; (d) a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised; and (e) a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are authorised to act for the owner.
You agree to indemnify and hold DUDES harmless from any claim arising out of your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party right, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
The app is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE”. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DUDES disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied or statutory, including that the app will meet your requirements, operate without interruption, or be error free. Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, so some of them may not apply to you.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the entire liability of DUDES under these Terms is limited to the amount you actually paid for the Service in the twelve months before the claim, and DUDES is not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
The app and its contents, features and functionality (including software, text, design and their arrangement) are owned by DUDES or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws. They may not be copied, modified or distributed without the prior written permission of DUDES, except as these Terms allow. Music, artwork and names shown in the app belong to their respective rights holders.
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, it will be interpreted to achieve its purpose to the extent possible, and the remaining provisions remain in full force. Failing to exercise a right is not a waiver of that right.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and DUDES regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements on the subject.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Italy. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live and may bring proceedings in the courts there. Before starting any proceedings, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue informally.
